Twitch Live — Unofficial Fan Page

A simple Chrome extension that shows which of your favorite Twitch channels are live. Below: features, install & pin instructions, options, and release notes. (We’re not the developer—just fans who maintain helpful guides.)

Overview

What it Does

Places a small TV icon in your Chrome toolbar. Click it to see which followed Twitch channels are live. You can open a stream in a new tab (or pop-out), and optionally view the game / section info.

  • Shows your followed channels currently live
  • Clickable game / section titles to open on Twitch
  • Optional pop-out player window
  • Lightweight UI focused on “who’s live”

Note: The extension may require sign-in and permission to access your followed channels via Twitch APIs.

Setup

Install & Pin

  • Install from the Chrome Web Store (button above).
  • Pin the extension: click the puzzle icon Extensions → pin Twitch Live to toolbar.
  • Open Options (right-click the icon → Options), sign in if prompted, and enter your Twitch username if required.
  • Click the toolbar icon any time to see who’s live.

If nothing appears, try re-saving settings, reloading the extension, or checking you actually follow channels on Twitch.

Options

Useful Settings

  • Open channel in a pop-out window.
  • Toggle whether to show non-live / VOD items (behavior depends on current Twitch API limitations).
  • Click the “Twitch Live” header in the popup to open the main Twitch page.

Some legacy options may have changed as the extension updated to newer Twitch APIs / Manifest V3.

Troubleshooting

Quick Fixes

  • Re-open Options and click Save again after entering your username.
  • In chrome://extensions, toggle Developer mode, then click Reload on Twitch Live.
  • Sign out/in of Twitch in the options if prompts appear.
  • Clear site data for twitch.tv if lists look stale.
